econo-poetry Public sector cuts

Important to stress that I’m not representing in any way, these are just some thoughts I’ve had, and I don’t see how we owe this money, but even if we did...Is it really all that difficult to raise a thousand billion quid?

My First Love Poem (or One love poem, as Requested)

The Monopoly Analogy

Saudi Arabia - Mayfair, America - Park Lane
Sudan - Old Kent Road and so, for the rest of the game

Birdsong - Written a long time ago

Vegetaria

Another very old poem, This one a served me fairly well as I remember. Is best read whilst steaming drunk. This went through so many incantations I'm not even sure where the best version is. Ideally I should print this out, dig out any other versions and scribble on them some, read it out loud a few times, preferably to an audience (for old times sakes), scribble on it some more and make a final version of it that can remain on here, unread, forever. Hope nobody out there is holding their breath

On hearing of the brown's lane closure

this poem what I wrote,

the day the story broke,
I walked up to Allesley and left it in bars,
placed it under the wipers of the right sort of cars
I mailed it to the telegraph, in vain hope of exposure
and so, here in its origional form,

A rational, structured and (hopefully) persuasive argument, constructed and kept brief and balanced with difficulty, due to the strength of the feelings by the author, and the amount convincing of evidence on one side, and the complete lack of it on the other.

open mike swipe (no offence meant to anyone - words in [brackets] indicate words I can't make my mind up on...still...written back in 2006)

$50 Sonnet

Possibly the best piece of 21st-Century English Literature which took less than 8 minutes to write. By me at least. And is possibly much less specific, more universal, ordered, and structured more proffesionally than the other (funnier) love poem.
